Mixed Media Volume 03 The Royal Court of Cats They arrived already dressed. Volume 03 of the Mixed Media collection is a gallery of feline dignitaries — AI-generated cat portraits rendered in full regalia and placed into richly layered vintage ephemera backgrounds assembled by hand. Sheet music, architectural blueprints, postage stamps, document fragments, and decorative scrollwork form the backdrop for a cast of cats who have clearly always known they deserved a formal portrait. Each piece pairs the painterly detail of AI-generated portraiture with the textural depth of original hand-crafted digital backgrounds. No cats were harmed in the making of this collection. Several were extremely opinionated about the process.

Mixed Media - Volume 03, No. 01 The Crowned One
A tuxedo cat of impeccable bearing sits for a formal portrait in full royal regalia — gold crown, jeweled medallion, and robes that suggest a long and distinguished reign. The background layers vintage sheet music and aged document ephemera behind an oval medallion frame, giving the whole composition the gravity of an official state portrait. The cat is aware of this. The cat approves.

Mixed Media - Volume 03, No. 02, Little Dutch CatA tabby cat in the style of a Dutch Golden Age portrait sits with quiet dignity in ecclesiastical robes, a paper boat hat perched atop his head in a nod to the Netherlands' great maritime heritage. Mushrooms — a nod to the rich still life tradition of Dutch painting — frame the composition on either side. Gothic architectural blueprints and vintage document ephemera layer the background. Mixed Media - Volume 03, No. 05, Meow equals MC-squared A bespectacled tabby in a rumpled suit and tie holds an iced drink and gazes at the viewer with the quiet confidence of someone who has already solved the problem you're still working on. Mixed Media - Volume 03, No. 06, Meow, Laugh, LoveA gloriously fluffy long-haired cat in Renaissance court robes brings all the good vibes in this lighthearted tribute to the art of simply enjoying life. Scroll banners proclaim "Meow," "Laugh," and "Love" while monarch butterflies add a touch of whimsy to the composition. Currency and handwritten document ephemera layer the background. Because sometimes the most sophisticated thing in the room is just a very fluffy cat reminding you to smile.

Mixed Media - Volume 03, No. 07, The Mau King This is not a cat who requests. A tuxedo cat in full samurai armor — ornate gold helmet, layered robes of deep blue and crimson — rules the composition with the absolute authority of a dynasty that predates recorded history. Titled "Mau," the ancient Egyptian word for cat, this is a figure who has been royalty since the pharaohs and sees no reason to discuss it further. An ink-splattered stamp-style frame contains the portrait, set against layered vintage postage and document ephemera. Strong. Ancient. Entitled. Absolute.
